My name is Dylan Bean, and I’m a photographer based in Eastern Idaho documenting the people, land, and work of the American West.
I spend my time around rodeos, ranches, and small communities, focusing on the kind of work that doesn’t always get noticed—the long days, the quiet moments, and the people who keep things running.
This started as a way to reconnect with something I grew up around, but over time it’s turned into something more intentional.
Through People of the West, I’m working to document the lives and stories of those who still live close to the land—ranchers, riders, and rural communities whose way of life is steadily changing.
My goal is simple: to create work that’s honest, grounded, and worth holding onto.
If you’ve got a story to tell, or you’re looking for photography that means something, I’d be glad to help.
